It's going to be about a 10 days before we get the new iPod. To prepare, I'm going through all our AIFF files on our computer and compressing them into AAC format. I'm also going to import the 200 some CDs and 50 cassettes that aren't on our computer yet. Going at an average import rate of 5x, this could take about 32 hours. Luckily, since I'll be strapped to the computer for what will seem like an eternity, I should get around to updating the album section on the ranch as well as finish a few books and crochet a new sweater.
